The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has unveiled ambitious infrastructure projects worth ₹15,000 crore to address Bengaluru's chronic traffic congestion. Spanning 124.7 km, the plan includes double-decker flyovers, elevated roads, and underpasses as part of the Comprehensive Traffic Management Plan (CTMP).

A BBMP official reportedly revealed that 11 major elevated projects have been identified, with five accounting for ₹10,000 crore. Key proposals include a 27-km corridor connecting Yeshwanthpur to KR Puram, a 15-km elevated route from Nagawara Junction to Bagalur main road, and a 10.5-km corridor from Swami Vivekananda Metro Station to Silk Board Junction.
The double-decker elevated corridor along Magadi Road, stretching 13 km from Hosahalli to Kadabagere Cross, is estimated to cost ₹1,560 crore. Another double-decker corridor connecting BEL Road intersection to Yeshwanthpur Railway Station is projected at ₹294 crore.
Additional proposals feature shorter elevated corridors, flyovers, and underpasses to decongest critical junctions. Notable projects include a ₹660-crore corridor from Madhava Mudaliar Road to Nagawara Junction (5.5 km) and a ₹480-crore elevated road from West of Chord Road to Outer Ring Road via Nandini Layout.
These developments coincide with the upcoming state budget, expected to allocate significant funding for Bengaluru’s infrastructure overhaul. BBMP’s CTMP aims to transform the city’s traffic landscape, offering relief to residents grappling with long-standing congestion issues.
