The three-day expo aims to spotlight the sector’s robust growth, both in domestic and international markets. With a retail market value of ₹8,000 crore, the agarbathi industry continues to expand its footprint, exporting to nearly 120 countries and achieving close to ₹1,000 crore in export revenue. The initiative seeks to elevate India’s standing as a global leader in agarbathi production.
AIAMA will also use the platform to introduce Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification as a new quality benchmark for the industry. This move is expected to enhance product standardisation and international trust in Indian incense products.
The agarbathi sector currently supports nearly 2 lakh livelihoods, with women comprising a significant portion of the workforce. The rising global demand for spiritual and aromatic products has contributed to the industry's steady growth over the past five years.
With participation from leading industry figures, AIAMA EXPO 2025 is poised to foster collaboration, encourage innovation, and reinforce the cultural and economic significance of the agarbathi industry on the global stage.
