Bengaluru will host the highly anticipated ‘Kundapra Kannada Habba–2025’ on July 26 and 27 at the Nandi Link Grounds in Hosakerehalli near the NICE Road Junction. Organised by Kundapra Kannada Pratishthana (R), the annual event celebrates the linguistic and cultural heritage of Kundapura Kannada, drawing thousands from across Karnataka and beyond.

The two-day festival promises a dynamic mix of cultural showcases, heritage exhibitions, and community-driven programmes. Seating will be arranged for over 5,000 attendees, reflecting expectations of significant participation. Each day will feature the felicitation of a distinguished achiever of Kundapura origin.

A wide range of traditional and contemporary attractions are lined up, including vibrant performances such as Hulivesha, Koraga Dollu, Bili Pataki, and Navaratri Vesha. The Kundapra Santhé will spotlight region-specific products and crafts.

The event will also feature thematic highlights like Saur Hannina Vasantha, a seasonal fruit fest, Mookajjiya Kanasugalu, a literary corner, and Midkani, a fashion show. Music, Yakshagana, dance dramas, and culinary showcases will further enrich the programme. A documentary titled Ilkaani Kundapra and a light-and-shadow show Dyasi: Tangre Tangli will offer immersive experiences.

A panel discussion during the curtain raiser addressed progress on the Kundapura Kannada Chair at Mangalore University. Community consultations will continue in Bengaluru as part of broader engagement efforts.

Overall, the festival aims to foster pride, cultural continuity, and connection among Kundapura Kannada speakers.
