    22-year-old Pavan Kumar asked an individual to pay the toll charges

    Pavan has sustained injuries on his head, ears and thighs

CCTV visuals of an untoward incident surfaced from the Electronic City Elevated Expressway on  the night of November 1st. 22-year-old Pavan Kumar had stopped a two-wheeler and asked an individual to pay the toll charges. The individual claimed to be a police officer and hence stated that he is not required to do so. Pavan then requested the individual to produce his ID cars to this effect. This however angered the individual. A verbal conflict between the two of them soon transcended into physical assault on Pavan Kumar with his helmet. Pavan has sustained injuries on his head, ears and thighs. 

Other colleagues of Pavan intervened to de-escalate the situation. The individual fled the scene with his bike. Pavan claimed that the man was drunk when the incident unfolded. 

Pavan was taken to an outpatient department of a hospital nearby. He suffered from severe pain in the head at around 6 AM in the morning. He was shifted to another hospital subsequently.

The police investigated the case and zeroed in on a person named Chudamani as being responsible for the incident. Chudamani is a teacher and had lied about his credentials. He has been booked under IPC sections 506, 341, 504, 323 and 324.
