Bengaluru Commissioner B. Dayananda held a press briefing where he discussed the arrest of a woman caretaker involved in a theft case. The woman, who had been working as a caretaker in multiple localities including Banashankari, Byappanahalli, and Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, was apprehended after stealing jewellery from the homes she worked in.

The stolen jewellery, weighing 157 grams and valued at Rs 11.50 lakh, was recovered from the woman. According to the police, the woman had pawned the gold at stores located in Nagawarapalya and JP Nagar. The authorities managed to trace the stolen items and arrest the accused.

Commissioner Dayananda urged homeowners to be more vigilant when hiring caretakers, advising them to conduct thorough background checks to prevent such incidents. He emphasized the importance of securing valuables and being cautious when employing people to work in one’s home.

This case highlights the need for increased awareness regarding the risks associated with hiring domestic help and the importance of safeguarding personal belongings. The police have assured the public that they are taking stringent action against such crimes and will continue to monitor the situation to prevent future thefts.
