In a significant anti-corruption operation, Lokayukta officials raided the residence of Tippeswamy, the Director of Town Planning, in Giringar, Bengaluru, uncovering a massive hoard of cash, jewelry, and valuables. The raid, led by SP Srinath, revealed substantial unaccounted wealth, raising serious questions about corruption in public office.

During the raid, officials discovered:

  • Over 28 pairs of gold earrings
  • 8 branded luxury watches
  • More than 23 gold chains and pearl necklaces
  • A golden necklace and multiple gold finger rings

This raid comes as part of a broader Lokayukta crackdown aimed at curbing corruption in Karnataka’s bureaucracy. Further updates on the investigation are awaited.
