On the rising cases of road rage, Anucheth emphasized the need for self-control among drivers and creating awareness about maintaining composure to avoid confrontations on the road. Highlighting traffic congestion at Silk Board and Hebbal junctions, he suggested enhanced road management, optimized signal timings, and alternative routes to ease the bottlenecks that plague these busy areas.

Addressing the problem of continuous honking, Anucheth explained how excessive noise leads to irritation and increased stress for commuters, urging drivers to reduce unnecessary honking and respect traffic etiquette. He also shared guidance on lodging complaints in hit-and-run cases, encouraging victims or witnesses to promptly report incidents to the police with as much detail as possible to aid investigations.

On road safety, Anucheth strongly advised riders to wear helmets and seatbelts, stressing that these simple precautions significantly reduce the severity of injuries during accidents. “Safety measures are not just rules but essential steps to protect lives,” he said.

The Joint Commissioner’s remarks underline the importance of behavioral changes and collective responsibility in tackling Bengaluru’s traffic challenges. These measures aim to create a safer and more efficient urban commute for all residents.
