A tragic black Saturday unfolded near Bengaluru with two deadly accidents, claiming the lives of nine people. In the first incident, three IIT students—Pranav, Akash, and Adarsh—lost their lives when their speeding car collided head-on with a truck on NH 209. The students were on their way to Talakadu for a weekend outing when the accident occurred. Prithvi, another student in the car, is critically injured and has been rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, in Nelamangala, six people were killed when a massive container fell onto their car. The group, which had purchased the car just two months ago, was also on a weekend outing. All six victims, including Chandram, the Managing Director and CEO of IAST Software Solutions, died instantly as the container crushed their vehicle. The tragic loss has shocked the community, with Chandram’s contributions to the tech industry remembered by colleagues and peers. Authorities are working to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage, with heavy machinery and cranes being used to clear the site.

Both accidents highlight the dangers of road travel, with authorities urging caution and adherence to safety norms to prevent such tragedies in the future.
