A Bengaluru two-wheeler rider has accumulated an astonishing ₹1.61 lakh in traffic fines, yet continues to roam the streets, sparking frustration among residents and raising questions about the lack of action from authorities. Tracking the fines for some time, Shibam revealed that the fine amount had increased from ₹1,05,500 last year to ₹1.61 lakh. The post included images of the vehicle and its rider, who was seen violating traffic rules such as driving without a helmet and engaging in erratic driving. Along with the images, Shibam shared a screenshot from the Traffic Challan Payment app, showing the accumulating fines. The post questioned why the Bengaluru City Traffic Police had not seized the vehicle despite its repeated violations.

In response, the traffic police acknowledged the issue on X, stating they would take appropriate action. This incident has raised concerns over the effectiveness of traffic enforcement in the city, especially when it comes to addressing repeat offenders who have accumulated significant fines without facing consequences.

As of now, the vehicle remains on the roads, leaving residents to wonder how long it will take for the authorities to intervene and enforce the law.
