The sudden fall of the huge flex damaged the car’s windshield, leaving it with cracks and raising questions about the safety of commuters. Dashcam footage from the vehicle has captured the entire episode, showing how recklessly the roadside work was being carried out without ensuring traffic was clear.

Eyewitnesses say that the banner, which had been illegally erected for advertisement purposes, turned into a hazard when the workers attempted to pull it down without proper barricading or traffic diversion. The family inside the car, including a husband, wife, and their child, were shocked by the sudden impact. Thankfully, no one was physically injured, but the mental trauma left them shaken.

When the family tried to question the workers about their careless handling, they were allegedly threatened and intimidated near the toll office. They have also accused the toll staff of behaving irresponsibly instead of helping them in that tense situation.

Local residents have slammed the National Highways Authority for its carelessness in allowing unauthorized flex boards to mushroom along busy highways. Many pointed out that this is not the first time such an incident has happened. The Nelamangala Town Police visited the spot and recorded statements to understand how a simple removal job turned into a near-disaster for unsuspecting road users.
