Bengaluru: Upendra’s 'A' rereleased after more than 25 years

Sandalwood actor Upendra-starrer A was an enormous hit when it was released and has also achieved the status of a cult classic. It was released on 12th February 1998. After a period of 26 years, it has been rereleased. The film will be featured in the Prasanna Theatre in Bengaluru. Upendra had starred in the lead role in A along with directing the film. Chandini had featured the lead actress alongside Upendra in the film. The prospect of catching their favourite star on the big screen has left fans thoroughly excited. The film had established Upendra’s stature as a formidable figure within the circuits of the Kannada film industry.

The popularity of A has transcended generational gaps. Till date, college going students watch the digital version of the film on their smartphones.
