Bengaluru will host second edition of Unicorn Premier League

    16 Unicorn Companies will face each other

The second edition of the Unicorn Premier League will be held in Bengaluru in February 2024. Entrackr, a news agency that highlights entrepreneurs will organise the event. The first edition was held in Delhi- National Capital Region (NCR) in 2023. 16 Unicorn Companies will face each other in a cricket contest. 

Some of the teams include Zerodha, Oyo, Flipkart, Razorpay, Slice, Groww, Dailyhunt (Verse) and Zepto. A cash prize of Rs 20 lakh awaits the winners of the tournament. The attendance for the event is expected to cross 5000 with representatives from over 1000 startup companies. Beatxp, Renee Cosmetics, Bonomi Coffee, Spinny, Cannnarma are some of the partners for the event. 

The first edition was won by MakeMyTrip who defeated Pristyn Care in the final. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag was the chief guest for the event. Other notable entrepreneurs such as Aman Gupta of boAt fame, Ashneer Grover of BharatPe fame and Kunal Bahl of Snapdeal fame were also witness to the final. 15 teams participated in the 32-match event in 2023 in the knockout format. Interestingly, in the explosive tournament the number of sixes exceeded the number of fours. More than 7000 runs were scored and 480 wickets were taken across the games.
