Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose of the Indian Air Force (IAF) has landed in serious trouble following a road rage incident in which he allegedly assaulted a biker in public view. The incident, which reportedly took place in Bengaluru, led to the registration of an FIR at the Baiyappanahalli police station.

According to sources, Bose kicked the biker during an altercation, drawing widespread criticism after a video of the incident circulated on social media. This action, compounded by his social media posts that identified him as an IAF officer, has raised serious concerns within Air Force circles. As per Air Force regulations, personnel are barred from sharing identifiable information or videos online, a rule Bose is believed to have violated.
Senior Air Force officials have already visited the police station to gather details regarding the case. A Court of Inquiry is likely to be initiated by the Training Command of the IAF, headquartered near Mekhri Circle in Bengaluru. The inquiry team, which could include senior officers up to the rank of Group Captain, is expected to submit a report within 15 days.
The incident has not only triggered internal disciplinary proceedings but also risks tarnishing the IAF’s public image. Allegations of misconduct, protocol breach, and attempts to incite linguistic tensions could lead to Wing Commander Bose facing dismissal from service, pending the outcome of the inquiry.
