In a recent incident at Bellandur Circle, a woman from out of state and her husband have apologized to an auto driver and his wife after she slapped the driver. Following the apology, the woman, identified as Pankhuri Mishra (28), expressed respect for Kannada, Karnataka, and its people. She appealed to all Kannadigas to forgive her and said, “I apologize to all auto drivers and Kannadigas. I will never repeat this mistake. I will not speak ill of Kannadigas or Karnataka again. Please forgive me. I love Bengaluru. Jai Karnataka.”

Pankhuri Mishra explained that she is pregnant and was riding a bike when the auto suddenly came beside her, frightening her. In her panic, without thinking clearly, she slapped the driver. She expressed regret over her actions and sought forgiveness for the same.
This incident was first reported by NewsFirst, following which many Kannadigas showed support for the auto driver. After the incident, Bellandur Police located the woman, took her in for questioning, and recorded her statement. Recently, the driver and his wife accepted the apology by holding the hands of the woman and her husband. A case had been registered at Bellandur Police Station concerning this matter.
The sincere apology has helped calm the situation, showing a spirit of forgiveness and mutual respect. The auto driver’s supporters also praised the resolution.
