Bengaluru: Woman commits suicide after being harrassed for night out by classmates

In a shocking incident, a 31-year-old homemaker named Mamatha committed suicide by hanging herself from a window in her house. The incident occurred in the Sidedahalli region of the Bagalagunte area  of Bengaluru. She named 2 youngsters before committing suicide. 

The 2 people named in her death note are believed to be her classmates. She claimed to have received obscene messages from them. The 2 classmates Ashok and Ganesh are believed to have harassed her and demanded that she escort them for a night out. They are also alleged to have threatened Mamatha and her family with dire consequences if she did not heed to their demand.

Officials of the Bagalagunte Police Station have received a complaint from Mamtha’s husband Lokesh. The death note has been the basis for filing a complaint. Ganesh and Ashok are currently absconding. They are reported to have switched off their mobile phone.
