Bengaluru: Woman denied permission for New Year Photoshoot commits suicide

    Varshini was getting ready for a New Year Party on December 31st

A tragedy unfolded in the Sudhamanagar area of Bengaluru on the very first day of 2024. A 21-year-old woman pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) course hanged herself on the fan resulting in her death. The reason for this extreme measure has come to the forefront. 

Varshini was studying in the Community College in Jayanagar. She was always fond of photoshoots. Her parents denied her permission for a photoshoot and this may have become the cause of her death. 

Varshini was getting ready for a New Year Party on December 31st. She was denied the permission to go to the party by her parents. A photoshoot was scheduled in a mall and Varshini was distraught upon not being able to attend it. This is suspected as a primary reason for the suicide. 

Along with pursuing BBA, Varshini was also doing a course on photography. The Wilson Garden Police are investigating this incident. The postmortem of her body will take place in the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Science (KIMS) Hospital.
