Priya Sharma, a resident of Bengaluru, experienced a dramatic financial turnaround after uncovering her late grandfather's overlooked shares in Larsen & Toubro (L&T).

During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Priya stumbled upon 500 shares of the blue-chip construction company that her grandfather had bought in 2004. These shares had significantly appreciated in value over time and had been augmented through bonus shares and stock splits, bringing her total to 4,500 shares.

The shares' value had surged to approximately Rs 1.72 crore, transforming Priya's financial situation. However, retrieving the shares was not straightforward. Priya faced numerous challenges, including acquiring her grandfather’s records and navigating the Mumbai probate process.

To tackle the complexities, Priya enlisted Share Samadhan, a firm specializing in recovering lost investments. The company assisted with the required paperwork, including probate and KYC updates, and resolved discrepancies between the official documents and share certificates.

After over a year of diligent work, Priya successfully secured a duplicate share certificate from L&T, unlocking her grandfather's long-forgotten fortune.
