A Bengaluru woman has accused MakeMyTrip and Quick Ride of negligence after being seriously injured in a cab accident on June 10. The cab booked through MakeMyTrip and assigned via Quick Ride.

The cab was involved in a head-on collision after the driver, who was reportedly speeding, fell asleep at the wheel. The passenger suffered a fracture in her right leg and also underwent emergency surgery and has been bedridden for over a month. Her medical expenses have gone beyond ₹5 lakh including costs for follow-up care, physiotherapy and mental health treatment.
She posted a LinkedIn post that neither MakeMyTrip nor Quick Ride offered any support, despite several attempts to contact their customer service teams. She said a refund of ₹1,104 was issued only after she also shared her experience publicly on X and that it was done without any consultation or acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation as well.
Quick Ride’s only direct response was a brief hospital visit by two representatives. There was no follow-up or continued assistance after that. She later raised the issue with the senior management of both companies seeking a clear response and resolution.
Staff visited the hospital, an FIR was filed and the required insurance documents were submitted for the compensation process. The company noted that support would be provided through the procedure as well.
