Although the incident occurred on 27th July, the woman did not file any complaint. The incident was however captured on a CCTV camera. The visuals were later broadcast by the media. This provided the woman the courage to approach the police. Police officials reached the location of the incident and took the CCTV DVR under their possession. Further investigations are underway.

Travel during the late hours of a day always had an element of risk attached to it in the city of Bengaluru. This incident also raises questions with regard to whether a similar risk persists during the early hours of the day.
