  • Rain played spoilsport in the India vs Pakistan clash
  • Rains affected parts of Bengaluru as well
  • Swiggy tweeted about the order

Biryani has been recorded as the most ordered dish on food delivery platforms across India. A clash between India and Pakistan is also an occasion that goes beyond just cricket and is a moment of festivities and gathering. When 2 and 2 are put together, what we get is a customer placing an order for 62 Biryanis in Bengaluru during the recent India vs Pakistan clash that took place in the Pallekele International Stadium in Sri Lanka. “someone from bengaluru just ordered 62 units of biryanis?? Who are you? where exactly are you? Are you hosting a IND vs PAK match watch-party?? can i come,” the official account of Swiggy had tweeted on Saturday.

With rain turning the match into a damp squib, a delicious meal would be an apt filler. Parts of Bengaluru also faced intermittent rain throughout the day. With rain making ruling out travel as an option and also setting up the mood for relaxation on a weekend, ordering food online would have been a go-to option for many across the city.

India and Pakistan would likely face off next Sunday as well provided India manage to secure a win or tie against Nepal with whom their clash is scheduled on Monday.
