According to the complaint, the doctor first came into contact with Vismaya Gowda in 2019 while attending one of her manifestation classes. Impressed by her credentials as a life coach, the doctor developed a professional acquaintance with her. Over time, Vismaya allegedly borrowed approximately Rs 6.5 lakh from the doctor, offering a cheque as surety for repayment.
However, when the doctor attempted to deposit the cheque, it was rejected due to a mismatched signature. Upon confronting Vismaya about the issue, the doctor claims she was met with verbal abuse and threats. Fearing for her safety, she decided to approach the police and register a formal complaint.
Authorities at Basaveshwara Police Station have taken up the case and are investigating the allegations. If found guilty, Vismaya Gowda could face legal consequences for financial fraud and intimidation.
This incident raises concerns about online fraud and the exploitation of professional relationships. The police urge the public to be cautious when dealing with financial transactions, especially with individuals met on social media. Further investigations will determine the veracity of the claims against Vismaya Gowda.
