An intriguing incident occurred in Malleshwaram on September 19th when Krishnayya, a security guard was on his way to the nearest ATM when a lady was blocking his path. He told her, “Aunty, sideaag banni(Aunty, can you please make way for me).”
The lady named Ashwini was angered by this utterance. She proceeded to slap him. She also hit him with her slippers. She also used abusive words for him. She gave him death threats over this. “I won’t spare you alive,” she apparently said. Bystanders had to intervene to prevent the conflict from escalating.
Krishnayya then approached the Malleshwaram police station to register a complaint about this incident. A complaint has been filed under section 324, 355, 504 and 506 of the IPC. The charges include causing injury, intent to dishonour, intentional insult and criminal intimidation.
