  • Apartment is being accused of negligence

A 32-year-old woman named Kushboo Ashish Trivedi slipped from a glassdoor from her apartment in the fifth floor of the 18-storey Vindhyagiri apartment complex at Doddabanahalli. The absence of a safety mesh resulted in her fall. She succumbed to her injuries enroute to the hospital.

A case of unnatural death has been registered in the Kadugodi Police Station. The police have estimated the incident to have taken place between 4 PM and 4:30 PM on December 7th. A case of unnatural death was registered on 9th December on the basis of a complaint filed by Kushboo’s father Chandrakanth Trivedi. “Kushboo married Trivedi Ashish Harish Kumar nearly seven years ago. They didn't have children. We waited for her father Chandrakanth to come from Rajkot in Gujarat and file a complaint. He didn't make any allegation against her husband, also a software engineer, and his parents. There is no CCTV camera to find out how exactly she fell from the window. But prima facie it appears she slipped and accidentally fell out of the sliding window,” a police official started.

Kushboo worked as a software engineer in a private firm. A social activist has also filed another complaint against the apartment for not having a safety mesh in place.
