In a shocking display of arrogance and disregard for traffic laws, a man claiming to be the Yeshwanthpur JD(S) Assembly Constituency President was arrested by the Jnanabharathi Traffic Police for misbehaving with officers on duty. The incident took place on Ullal Main Road, Bengaluru, during a routine traffic check.

According to police sources, the accused, identified as Naveen Gowda, was riding a two-wheeler without wearing a helmet. When the traffic personnel stopped him for the violation, Naveen initially cooperated and parked his bike on the roadside. However, when questioned about the helmet violation, he turned aggressive and began verbally abusing the police in singular form, a clear sign of disrespect.
Naveen not only refused to pay the fine but also challenged the officers by saying, “I won’t wear a helmet, I won’t pay any fine. Call whoever you want.” He further questioned the police authority, saying, “Who gave you the right to fine me? Don’t file any case against me.” Shockingly, he even claimed that he deliberately rode without a helmet just to see if the police would file a case against him.
The accused then declared himself as the president of the JD(S) unit in Yeshwanthpur, attempting to use his political connection to obstruct the officers from performing their duty. Unfazed by the intimidation, the Jnanabharathi police promptly registered a case against him and took him into custody.
