A 23-year-old resident of Bengaluru found himself in custody after engaging in pranks targeting women within a metro station and train.
According to a news report from Times of India, this individual, known as Prajwal, recorded these pranks and uploaded them to his Instagram account.
Officials from the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) confirmed that Prajwal shared these videos on Instagram Reels, under the pseudonym "Pranker Praju." The videos in question were filmed back in July.
In one of these Instagram Reels, Prajwal can be seen on an escalator, pretending to have a seizure. His antics caused alarm to an elderly woman who was on the escalator just behind him. Another video depicts him repeating the same prank while inside a train.
An assistant security officer from BMRCL filed a complaint at a local police station, emphasizing that the young man's actions were unacceptable and violated the established rules and etiquette for using Namma Metro train, reported Times of India.
In addition to his arrest, Prajwal was fined Rs 500 for his disruptive behavior on the metro train. Following his apprehension, he provided an undertaking that he would refrain from similar behavior in the future.
