KSTDC launches three double-decker sightseeing buses in Bengaluru from today, offering a curated city tour covering heritage sites, parks, government landmarks, and sports venues.
Bengaluru has introduced a new tourist-friendly initiative with the launch of London-style ‘Ambari Double Decker’ buses, aimed at offering visitors a comfortable and comprehensive city sightseeing experience. The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has started operating three such buses from today.
The service is designed to connect Bengaluru’s key tourist attractions, including Lalbagh, Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha and Tipu Sultan’s Palace. These double-decker buses are expected to give tourists a panoramic view of the city while travelling through its most iconic locations.
Earlier, similar tourist buses were operated by BMTC, but the service was discontinued due to financial losses. KSTDC has now revived the concept with a fresh approach to promote tourism and make city exploration easier for visitors.
According to officials, tourists can book tickets online through the corporation’s official website. Each ticket is priced at ₹180. The buses will operate daily from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM. The Bengaluru Double Decker City Tour follows a carefully planned circular route covering cultural centres, historic monuments, administrative buildings, green spaces and major sports venues.
The tour is suitable for tourists, families, students, corporate groups and first-time visitors, offering an organised and engaging way to experience the heart of the city.
