Unauthorised data transfer to personal account leads to major corporate breach, Whitefield CEN police register case

Amadeus Software Labs India has reported a massive corporate fraud involving unauthorised data transfer and financial loss amounting to ₹87 crore, allegedly committed by one of its senior employees. The case has now been officially registered at the Whitefield CEN Police Station in Bengaluru.

According to the complaint, the accused has been identified as Ashutosh Nigam, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who was working in a senior position at the company. Ashutosh was handling software-related operations as part of business dealings with Ashutosh Innovative Scheduling (LLC), a firm involved in software procurement and scheduling solutions.

During this professional engagement, the company discovered that on October 11, 2025, sensitive company data was transferred from Amadeus Software Labs India’s systems to a personal account, without any official approval or authorisation. The unauthorised transfer reportedly involved highly valuable digital data linked to company operations.

The issue came to light during an internal review. Following this, on December 3, 2025, the management terminated Ashutosh Nigam from his position after preliminary findings indicated serious violations of company policy.

A detailed internal investigation later revealed that the total loss caused due to the data breach was 8 lakh euros, which is approximately ₹87 crore. The probe also confirmed that data valued at ₹87 crore had been illegally accessed and stolen, marking it as a significant case of corporate data theft.

After gathering sufficient internal evidence, Amadeus Software Labs India approached the police. Based on the complaint, the Whitefield CEN Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation to trace the data trail, assess the extent of misuse, and determine whether additional individuals or entities were involved.
