Held every Thursday from 3 PM to 6 PM, these hearings are broadcast live on YouTube, allowing full public visibility of the decision-making process.

Each week, a list of up to 30 citizens is invited to present their grievances before BDA Chairman N. A. Haris, in the presence of all relevant officials and supporting documents. The Chairman hears both citizens and officers and takes on-the-spot decisions, with notings and endorsements made immediately on file. This ensures that every complaint is handled swiftly and transparently, without citizens having to meet multiple officials or visit several offices.

The process is simple: grievances from one of the four BDA zones, North, South, East, and West, are taken up each week. Citizens can register by sending a photo of their written request to the BDA helpline (9483166622). Within 24 hours, they receive an acknowledgment, and the date of the hearing is communicated through text and voice call.
Even when away from Bengaluru, the Chairman ensures participation through video conferencing, maintaining consistency in leadership. The initiative is part of a broader push under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar, who has directed that BDA become more citizen-oriented, accountable, and professional.
