Bengaluru among top four cities in India for salary growth in FY 2025-26 with average pay hike of 10.1 percent

Bengaluru is poised to witness one of the strongest salary expansions in India, with an average pay hike of 10.1 per cent projected for FY 2025-26. The city ranks among the top four nationally, following Pune, which leads the chart with a 10.4 per cent increase, according to a recent TeamLease analysis.

Salary hikes by job roles 

The city’s upward trend is being powered by specialized roles in technology and sales. Data Engineers are expected to see the sharpest hike at 12.9 per cent, followed closely by Sales Officers at 12.5 per cent. Field Sales Executives and Quality Control Inspectors are also projected to gain 12.4 per cent each, while Service Engineers can anticipate an 11.7 per cent rise.

Bengaluru’s Electric Vehicle and EV infrastructure sector is forecast to deliver the highest increments, averaging 13.2 per cent. Consumer durables and retail are next in line, with expected hikes of 12.5 per cent and 12.0 per cent respectively. These sectors reflect the city’s growing influence in both high-tech innovation and consumer-driven markets.

The city also stands out for high variance in salary structures across industries such as Insurance, Banking, Media and Entertainment, and Agrochemicals. With both technology-driven and frontline roles showing robust momentum, Bengaluru continues to consolidate its position as one of India’s most dynamic pay growth hubs for the coming fiscal year.
