Manjamma Jogathi, a Padma Shri awardee known for her contribution to folk arts and social inclusion, brings strong grassroots influence and credibility. Actor Aniruddha Jatkar, a popular face in Kannada cinema, is expected to connect with youth and urban audiences, while social activist Arun Pai adds valuable experience in community-driven environmental campaigns.
The move comes as Bengaluru continues to face growing challenges in solid waste management due to rapid urbanisation and population growth. Authorities believe that involving respected public figures will help bridge the gap between policy and public action, making cleanliness efforts more effective and sustainable.
