Two Bengaluru friends grabbed everyone’s attention this Halloween by dressing up as the city’s most frustrating landmarks, the long-delayed Ejipura flyover and the ever-busy Sony Signal junction.
Bengaluru’s residents are known for their sense of humour amid traffic troubles, and this Halloween proved it once again. Two city friends turned heads at a Halloween party by dressing up as Bengaluru’s most haunting realities, the Ejipura flyover and the Sony Signal.
The hilarious yet thought-provoking idea came from Paarug Sethi, who shared the pictures on social media platform X. Paarug dressed up as the infamous, incomplete Ejipura flyover, wearing an image of the under-construction bridge as a headpiece. His friend showed up as the Sony Signal, one of Bengaluru’s most congested traffic junctions, sporting a placard with the word “Sony” and the three signal lights, red, yellow, and green.

The creative costumes instantly went viral online, with users flooding the comments section with laughter and appreciation. One person wrote, “Laughing at this from the Sony signal itself!” while another commented, “Absolute class.” Others praised the creativity, calling it “True Horror” and “scary but accurate.”
Some netizens even joked about the never-ending delays, with one saying, “People can dress up as Ejipura flyover again for the next few years too, I guess.”

The post sparked light-hearted conversation around Bengaluru’s infamous traffic and infrastructure delays, especially regarding the Ejipura flyover project, which has been under construction for almost eight years.
The 2.5-kilometre-long Ejipura Flyover, launched in 2017 by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and built by Simplex Infrastructure, was meant to ease congestion between Ejipura Main Road and Kendriya Sadan Junction. However, after repeated contractor issues and missed deadlines, the project is still only 60% complete.
Meanwhile, the Sony Signal junction in Koramangala remains one of the city’s busiest traffic choke points, known for long waits and constant jams.
