Magadi Road police register case against PSI Kaushik following complaint by Avinash, who alleges assault, abuse, illegal detention, and threats during a civil dispute investigation.
In an unusual development, an FIR has been registered against a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) at the same police station where he is posted. The case was filed at the Magadi Road Police Station in Bengaluru following a complaint by a man named Avinash, who alleged physical assault, verbal abuse, and intimidation by PSI Kaushik.
According to the complaint, Avinash had visited the police station with a bail copy related to an earlier case. He alleged that PSI Kaushik verbally abused him, questioned him aggressively about obtaining bail, and slapped him on the cheek. Avinash further claimed that the officer threatened to register another criminal case against him if he pursued legal remedies.

The background of the incident is linked to a civil dispute and a chit fund cheating case. Earlier, a complaint had been filed by a woman named Lakshmi against Avinash’s mother, Pramila, accusing her of financial fraud related to chit fund transactions. Based on this complaint, a case had been registered, and an investigation was initiated.
Avinash alleged that during the course of this probe, his family members were subjected to harassment. He claimed that his mother, sister, and father were detained without proper notice and physically assaulted. Even after securing bail, he alleged that the harassment continued, including verbal abuse and physical attack in front of his mother and sister.
