A breathtaking aerial video of Bengaluru, captured by drone pilot Srihari Karanth, shows the city shimmering in golden light and bursting fireworks this Diwali night.
Bengaluru’s skyline turned into a canvas of light and colour this Diwali, as drone pilot Srihari Karanth captured a spellbinding aerial view of the city illuminated by fireworks. The video, shot from a higher altitude over Ragigudda Metro Station, offered a stunning bird’s-eye view of the festival in full glory.

Karanth, a DGCA-certified drone pilot known for his cinematic shots of Bengaluru, shared the video on X with the poetic caption: “Bengalureans celebrated the Night, Camera captured the Light!” The clip, which showed the city bathed in golden hues and fireworks bursting in synchrony, quickly went viral, amassing over 47,000 views and thousands of appreciative comments.

Viewers flooded the post with reactions calling it “magical,” “spectacular,” and “a tribute to Bengaluru’s spirit.” Many lauded Karanth for his consistent efforts to capture the city from unique aerial perspectives that highlight its festive charm.
Just a day earlier, Karanth had posted another video, a hyperlapse of South Bengaluru’s night sky, titled “Fireworks between rains”, that similarly wowed social media users with its cinematic flair. Together, his visuals painted a vivid portrait of a city celebrating Diwali under one glittering sky.
