A simple yet thoughtful parking initiative at a Nexus Mall in Bengaluru draws praise online after a local resident highlights the dedicated space for expectant mothers.

A small but meaningful initiative inside a Bengaluru mall has captured widespread attention on social media, after a city resident highlighted a dedicated parking space reserved exclusively for expectant mothers.

The moment came to light when Akshay Raina, a Bengaluru-based man, shared a short video on Instagram from a mall’s basement parking area. In the clip, Raina points out a clearly marked parking bay with a board that reads “Reserved for mothers to be”. The space stands out with its soft pink colour theme, making it easily identifiable amid the often crowded and confusing parking zones typical of large shopping complexes.

Reacting on camera, Raina appreciated the idea and called it a thoughtful move, saying, “Very nice concept and I loved it.” His video focuses on how such a simple facility can make public spaces more comfortable and accessible for pregnant women.

In his caption, Raina went on to praise the mall management, specifically mentioning Nexus Malls in Bengaluru for taking this step. “Hats off to Nexusmalls in Bengaluru where they have kept separate space for women especially mothers to be. All other malls in India should implement the same,” he wrote.
