BMRCL announces early morning metro operations across all corridors to ensure smooth travel for participants and the public during the Karnataka State Level Police Run event.

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced that Namma Metro services will begin early at 5:00 AM on Sunday, March 1, 2026, instead of the usual 7:00 AM start. The special arrangement has been made to ensure smooth and convenient travel for participants and the general public attending the Karnataka State Level Police Run event in Bengaluru.

According to the official media release dated February 26, 2026, metro train operations will commence early across all corridors. Services will begin from Whitefield and Challaghatta on the Purple Line, Madavara and Silk Institute on the Green Line, and from Bommasandra and RV Road on the Yellow Line, starting at 5:00 AM.

The decision aims to facilitate hassle-free movement of commuters, runners, and spectators participating in the major state-level event. BMRCL stated that the early operations are being implemented to avoid inconvenience and ensure seamless public transport connectivity across the city during the early morning hours.

Metro services will continue as per the regular schedule after the early start. The public and metro commuters have been advised to plan their travel accordingly and make use of the extended service timing.
