Protesters stated that the university should first focus on improving facilities before burdening students with steep fee hikes. With rising financial strain on families, the demand for withdrawal of the “unjustified” hike has intensified, turning the campus into a hotbed of agitation.

The administration is yet to respond to the students’ demand for rolling back the fee hike, even as tensions continue to escalate on campus.
