Bengaluru Police launch ‘Project Khushi’ to boost mental & physical wellbeing of police personnel

A three-month wellness initiative by Bengaluru City Police and Happiest Health focuses on stress relief, better sleep, and lifestyle disease prevention for police personnel.

Bengaluru City Police have taken a significant step towards improving the health of their personnel with the launch of ‘Project Khushi’ on September 11, in collaboration with wellness enterprise Happiest Health. This three-month-long initiative is designed to address the unique challenges faced by police staff, including long working hours, irregular schedules, high stress, and lack of proper sleep.

The project aims to prevent and manage lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity, which are common among personnel due to demanding work environments. Sessions will be held every alternate Thursday between September 11 and November 20, combining in-person workshops with digital modules to make participation easier despite busy schedules.

The programme begins with a comprehensive health test, enabling participants to track measurable progress throughout the initiative. This data-driven approach ensures each officer gets a clear picture of their health and can adopt necessary lifestyle changes.

With a focus on mental resilience, physical fitness, and overall wellness, Project Khushi marks a new era of care for the police force, helping them stay healthier while they continue to serve the city.
