A landowner in Vidyaranyapura was allegedly threatened and later attacked with a knife after he refused to pay money demanded by a group while constructing a compound wall on his site in AMS Layout.
A violent incident was reported in Vidyaranyapura in Bengaluru, where a site owner was allegedly attacked with a knife after refusing to pay money demanded for constructing a compound wall around his property.
Police have arrested three accused identified as Nisar, Rishal and Sheikh Khaleem in connection with the attack.
According to police information, the victim Anand had purchased a site in AMS Layout in Vidyaranyapura. He had recently started the work of constructing a compound wall around the property.
During the construction work, Nisar reportedly approached Anand and demanded money, allegedly threatening him in connection with the compound wall being built on the site.
When Anand questioned the demand and reportedly asked why he should pay money to build a compound wall on his own land, tensions escalated between the two sides.
It is alleged that Nisar warned Anand that he would not be allowed to live if the money was not paid.
Later, when Anand went to check his property, Nisar along with Rishal and Sheikh Khaleem allegedly confronted him at the location.
During the confrontation, the accused reportedly attempted to attack him with a knife. They allegedly tried to stab him in the stomach, leading to a violent assault.
During the attack, Anand sustained serious injuries to his head and hands. Following the assault, he was taken to a hospital and admitted for treatment.
After the incident was reported, Vidyaranyapura police registered a case and launched an investigation. Acting quickly, police arrested the three accused, Nisar, Rishal and Sheikh Khaleem.
A criminal case has been registered at the Vidyaranyapura Police Station, and further investigation is underway to determine all the details related to the attack and the alleged threats made against the victim.
