Bengaluru turns into a ‘Cake Wonderland’ as world’s biggest cake show opens at Palace Grounds

Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds has transformed into a grand cake world as the 51st edition of the world’s biggest cake show begins. Over 21 laser-cut cakes depicting Kantara Daiva, Puri Jagannath, Velankanni Church, a mosque and Disneyland are on display till January 4.

From Kantara Daiva to Puri Jagannath and Disneyland, over 21 laser-cut cakes crafted in 90 days go on display at the 51st edition of the mega cake show in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru has stepped into a magical festive mood with the launch of a spectacular cake exhibition at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds, where the city now hosts what organisers describe as the world’s biggest cake show. The 51st edition of the annual event opened today, drawing crowds eager to witness the extraordinary cake artistry on display.

The show, organised by the Institute of Baking and Cake Art (IBAC), has transformed the venue into a vibrant “cake world” filled with intricate edible models. This year’s highlights include Kantara Daiva, a grand Puri Jagannath idol, representations of a mosque, a church, the Velankanni Church of Tamil Nadu, and a colourful Disneyland-themed cake that instantly attracts children.

According to organisers, more than 21 cakes have been crafted for the exhibition. Every piece has been created using laser-cutting technology for the first time in the world, giving the structures sharp detailing and a unique finish. The preparation took nearly 90 days, with over 20 skilled staff members working continuously to complete the displays.

Visitors are already describing the venue as a “cake wonderland”, making it a top weekend spot for families and children. The show has begun and will continue until January 4, giving the public plenty of time to explore the attractions.

Entry, however, is not free. Tickets are priced at ₹150 per person, and everyone above three years of age must purchase a full-fare ticket to enter.

With Christmas and New Year celebrations around the corner, Bengaluru’s cake show has once again turned into a major festive attraction, offering a colourful, artistic and delicious-looking experience for visitors of all ages.
