In a bizarre turn of events, a newlywed woman allegedly demanded ₹2 crore from her husband, claiming he refused intimacy on the wedding night. The husband has lodged a police complaint against her and her family.
In a shocking and unusual case, a newlywed couple’s marital dispute has taken a legal turn after the husband alleged harassment and extortion attempts by his wife and her family.

Praveen, a Bengaluru resident, married a woman from Chikkamagaluru district on May 5 in Tarikere. According to his complaint filed at Govindarajanagar Police Station, his wife accused him of avoiding physical intimacy on the wedding night and questioned his masculinity.
Reports state that the woman’s family even took Praveen for a medical test to determine his sexual health, which confirmed that he was physically fit for sexual activity. Doctors reportedly suggested the couple take time and exercise patience, citing possible psychological stress as the reason for his hesitation.

However, the complaint alleges that the wife and her family soon demanded ₹2 crore from Praveen as a financial settlement and later stormed into his house on August 17, allegedly assaulting him and his parents. The incident was reportedly caught on CCTV.
Praveen, unable to meet the demand, has now approached the police, seeking legal action against his wife and in-laws. Police have registered the complaint and are investigating the matter.
