Blinkit delivery agent arrested for molesting Brazilian model in Bengaluru

A Blinkit delivery executive has been arrested for allegedly molesting a Brazilian model at her RT Nagar residence. The accused is a student working part-time in the city.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on October 17 at around 3:20 pm when one of the residents of the apartment ordered food through Blinkit. When the delivery agent arrived, the Brazilian model went to collect the order. The complaint alleges that the delivery executive inappropriately touched her and outraged her modesty.

Startled by the assault, the woman pushed him away, shut the door, and did not immediately disclose the incident. Later, she and her flatmates informed their employer, who verified the CCTV footage and confirmed the misconduct before approaching the police.

Following a formal complaint filed on October 25, RT Nagar Police arrested the accused and registered a case under Sections 75(1) and 76 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, which pertain to acts of sexual harassment and assault.

Officials stated that a detailed investigation is underway, and the police are examining whether the accused has been involved in similar cases in the past. Blinkit has reportedly been informed of the arrest, though the company has not yet issued an official statement.
