Subrahmanyapura police seize ganja, MDMA and hashish oil worth ₹4 lakh; accused targeted college students
The Subrahmanyapura police have arrested two drug peddlers, including a woman who allegedly targeted college students for selling narcotics in Bengaluru. The accused were caught while transporting drugs on a two-wheeler, officials said.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Aditya and Meghana. According to police, Meghana played a key role in sourcing drugs from outside the state at low prices and supplying them to students studying in various colleges across the city.
During the operation, police seized 4 kilograms of ganja, around 37 grams of MDMA, and nearly 35 grams of hashish oil, along with a digital weighing machine. The total value of the seized narcotics is estimated at ₹4 lakh.

Investigators revealed that the accused were actively using a two-wheeler to move drugs discreetly and avoid suspicion. Acting on specific information, the Subrahmanyapura police intercepted the vehicle and took both suspects into custody.
Police have also confirmed that three more accused are involved in the case. Efforts are currently underway to trace and arrest the absconding suspects. Raids and follow-up operations have been intensified to dismantle the entire network.
The arrested accused have been produced before the authorities, and further investigation is ongoing to identify supply chains, distribution methods and possible links to college campuses.
Subrahmanyapura police said strict action will continue against drug networks operating in Bengaluru, especially those targeting students.
