A cyber centre owner in Bengaluru was arrested after allegedly abusing and threatening a woman employee on a public road when she decided to quit her job.

A disturbing incident of workplace harassment and public intimidation has come to light from Kengeri in Bengaluru, where a cyber centre owner allegedly threatened and verbally abused a woman employee for expressing her decision to leave the job.

The accused has been identified as Syed, the owner of Muskan Times Cyber Centre, located in the Kengeri area. The victim, Lakshmi, has been working at the cyber centre for the past five years. According to sources, she had taken leave for a few days due to personal reasons. This reportedly angered the owner.

The situation escalated on January 22, around 7:30 pm, when Lakshmi was allegedly stopped on the road by the accused. Witnesses say Syed shouted at her using abusive language and issued severe threats in full public view. He allegedly warned her of physical harm, including threats to assault her and cause serious injury, blaming her for his financial losses and accusing her of causing him stress.

The incident occurred on a busy road, drawing the attention of local residents. Shocked by the language and threats, several locals questioned the accused and demanded that he behave properly. As the argument intensified, residents immediately informed the Kengeri Police.

Police personnel reached the spot, took the accused into custody, and registered a case based on the complaint. After questioning, Syed was arrested and later released on station bail, officials confirmed.
