Daring morning robbery targets retired Bengaluru ACP, jewellery stolen

Retired ACP H. Subbanna attacked by masked robbers near Hebbal Veterinary Hospital; Sanjay Nagar police swiftly arrest three accused.

Bengaluru witnessed a shocking daylight robbery targeting retired ACP H. Subbanna. The incident occurred September 1st  when Subbanna was walking near Hebbal Veterinary Hospital around 9:30 AM. Masked assailants attacked him with a knife, forcibly snatching his gold chain and brass bracelet, valued at approximately ₹8 lakh.

The daring attack left Subbanna injured, and he was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. Following the incident, he lodged a complaint at Sanjay Nagar Police Station. Thanks to swift action, the police arrested three suspects—Mohammad Salman, Sayyad Mohisin, and Sayyad Irfan—linked to the robbery.

His active involvement in community initiatives continues even post-retirement, making this attack on a respected officer particularly alarming for the public.

Hebbal MLA and Urban Development Minister Bhairati Suresh visited Subbanna at his residence to inquire about his health, expressing support for the officer and his family. Sanjay Nagar police are continuing their investigation to ensure the perpetrators face justice.
