GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s premier technology and AI event network, will host its inaugural India edition, GITEX AI India, in Bengaluru in April 2027. The event will be organized by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and KAOUN International, in partnership with Karnataka's Department of Electronics, Information Technology, and Biotechnology.

The announcement was made at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 in Dubai, where India has consistently been a key participant, reflecting the country's strong ties with the event. Karnataka, recognized as India’s tech capital, plays a pivotal role in the country's digital landscape, contributing 42% of India’s software exports and housing over half of the nation’s AI and deep-tech workforce. The state is also home to the highest concentration of unicorns and global capacity centers in India.
Bengaluru, with its vibrant startup ecosystem, cutting-edge R&D infrastructure, and strong industry-academia collaborations, was selected as the ideal location to host this landmark event.

Information Technology Minister Priyank Kharge expressed immense pride over Bengaluru hosting GITEX AI India 2027, emphasizing the event’s significance as a major milestone for Karnataka’s burgeoning tech ecosystem.
He highlighted the state's strength in nurturing a highly skilled talent pool, fostering world-class research, and facilitating robust global connectivity. Kharge pointed out that Karnataka’s strategic position as a leader in software exports and AI innovation makes it an ideal location for such a prestigious event. He further reiterated the state's commitment to supporting technology and innovation, positioning it as a key player in the global digital transformation landscape.
