Greater Bengaluru municipal limits get ministers as in-charges ahead of elections

In a major move before civic polls, the government has appointed Bengaluru ministers as in-charges for five municipal bodies. The step aims to boost party organisation and prepare ground for the crucial urban elections.

State government appoints Bengaluru ministers to oversee party organisation and prepare for upcoming civic polls across five city municipal bodies.

With civic polls around the corner, the state government has entrusted Bengaluru’s top ministers with additional responsibilities as in-charges for municipal bodies under the Greater Bengaluru limits.

The appointments are aimed at strengthening party organisation, ensuring closer coordination, and mobilising cadre ahead of the crucial elections.

According to the new division of responsibilities:

•    Bengaluru East will be under Minister Krishna Byre Gowda
•    Bengaluru West will be overseen by Minister Byrathi Suresh
•    Bengaluru North has been assigned to Minister K.J. George
•    Bengaluru South will be handled by Minister Ramalinga Reddy
•    Bengaluru Central will be shared by Ministers Dinesh Gundu Rao and Zameer Ahmed Khan
