Following the success of Cubbon Park’s guided tours, Lalbagh Botanical Garden will introduce a similar concept, offering insights into its rich plant, animal, and bird diversity for visitors.
Bengaluru’s iconic Lalbagh Botanical Garden is set to launch guided tours in the coming two months, offering visitors a structured and informative experience of the garden’s rich biodiversity. This initiative follows the successful model of Cubbon Park, where guided tours have been active on weekends, attracting thousands of visitors.

The Horticulture Department has appointed trained guides who will lead groups of 30 people through Lalbagh, providing detailed information about the 3,000+ plant species, various animals, and bird species housed within the garden. Each tour will last approximately 90 minutes, ensuring that visitors get a comprehensive view of the park.
Currently, Lalbagh sees over 5,000 visitors daily, with numbers rising to 13,000 during weekends. The Dasara holidays recently boosted visitor numbers by 15-20%, highlighting the popularity of the garden and the potential impact of guided tours.
