Incomplete road asphalting and unchecked parking in Ram Mandir area trigger sharp criticism over poor planning and lack of enforcement by civic authorities.
Residents of Bengaluru’s Rajajinagar locality have expressed strong anger over what they describe as careless and incomplete road work in the Ram Mandir area. The civic issue has once again raised concerns about poor execution of infrastructure projects and administrative indifference in the city.
According to residents, road asphalting work was carried out only partially, with tar laid on just one half of the stretch while the remaining portion was left untouched. The unfinished surface has created inconvenience for motorists and pedestrians alike, increasing the risk of accidents and traffic congestion in the area.
Locals questioned how such work was allowed to pass inspection, alleging that authorities either failed to notice the incomplete job or deliberately ignored it. Many residents described the situation as a clear example of casual and careless execution, stating that the road looks abandoned midway through construction.

Adding to the problem, several cars and two-wheelers have been parked along the roadside, further narrowing the already half-finished stretch. Despite clear obstruction to traffic flow, residents claim that enforcement officials have failed to take action against illegally parked vehicles. No towing or corrective measures were reportedly taken, deepening public frustration.
Residents also criticised the overall quality of the work, calling it “patchy” and “temporary,” and questioned why public money was being spent on projects that were neither completed properly nor monitored effectively. They demanded accountability from the officials responsible for supervising the work.
With complaints mounting, residents are urging authorities to immediately complete the remaining road work, clear illegal parking, and ensure stricter monitoring of civic projects. They stress that half-done infrastructure only adds to daily hardship and erodes public trust in urban governance.
