Hidden camera found in women’s toilet at Bengalurus’ Sandhya Theatre

Panic at Sandhya Theatre in Madiwala after women spot a camera inside the ladies’ washroom during a movie screening; accused caught and handed over to police

A disturbing incident was reported from Sandhya Theatre in the Madiwala police station limits of Bengaluru, where a camera was allegedly found installed inside the ladies’ toilet, triggering panic among women and young girls who had gone to watch a movie.

The incident came to light when women and young female moviegoers entered the washroom and noticed a camera placed inside, leading to shock and outrage. At the time of the incident, the re-release of the film ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachav’ was being screened at the theatre.

As soon as the camera was detected, the matter was brought to the attention of people present at the theatre. Local residents and moviegoers immediately caught hold of the accused youth, who is suspected to have placed the camera inside the women’s washroom.

Eyewitnesses said the accused was assaulted by locals in anger before being handed over to the police. The situation remained tense for some time as women expressed fear and concern over their safety and privacy.

Police from the Madiwala Police Station reached the spot and took the accused into custody. Officials confirmed that the youth is currently being questioned to determine how the camera was installed, whether any footage was recorded, and if others were involved.

The police are also examining the device and gathering details from theatre staff as part of the investigation. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
