A strained relationship, rising suspicion over a foreign trip, and allegations of emotional pressure have led to the arrest of producer Aravind Venkatesh Reddy at Bengaluru airport.
A major development has unfolded in Bengaluru’s entertainment circle as producer and businessman Aravind Venkatesh Reddy was arrested early Saturday at Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL). The arrest came after a lookout notice was issued in connection with a harassment complaint filed by a Kannada film actress. A police team led by ACP Chandan and officer Subramani detained him soon after he arrived from Sri Lanka.
Relationship that once headed toward marriage
According to the actress’ detailed complaint, she first met Aravind about four years ago. Their relationship grew significantly closer after his father passed away two years back. She reportedly supported him through his emotional struggles, and the two eventually spoke about engagement and marriage.
Aravind allegedly told police that he had spent ₹4-5 crore on her over the course of their relationship, claiming he gifted her a luxury car, a site, and jewellery. He insisted these expenses were made because they believed they were building a future together.

The flight ticket that changed everything
What turned the relationship upside down, according to both the complaint and Aravind’s statements, was a flight ticket connected to the actress’ recent foreign trip. Aravind is said to have discovered the ticket and suspected she had travelled abroad with another person.
Police sources say he confronted her repeatedly, demanding explanations. The actress has stated that she avoided his calls at times because the questions became relentless. Aravind, however, reportedly felt she was ignoring him and began calling and messaging her continuously.
The actress alleges that this escalated into harassment, emotional pressure, stalking, and even the misuse of personal photos. Verbal fights and arguments became more frequent, eventually pushing her to approach the police.
Arrest and ongoing investigation
Based on her complaint, police registered a case of harassment, intimidation, and stalking. When officers learned that Aravind had left the country, they issued a lookout notice. As soon as he returned to Bengaluru, he was intercepted at KIAL and taken into custody.
Police have seized his mobile phone and are gathering digital evidence, messages, call logs, and witness statements. Officials say the investigation is in progress and more details will emerge in the coming days.
